I'm Dr Sara Jackson, and like every other vet out there, I've spent many a night reflecting on my job roles, the mistakes I thought I'd made (or had made) or where I thought I'd failed.
Over 15 years working in different sectors of veterinary medicine, I have seen the pain of so many colleagues, and know first-hand why we have such high rates of overwhelm, burnout and secondary trauma.
My own lived experience has led me to reflect on why so many in our profession both love and are challenged by it. This started me on a journey to explore positive psychology which has brought me contentment, increased my ability to emotionally self -regulate, to feel more comfortable with the discomfort synonymous with veterinary medicine and start to flourish once more. Having now studied positive psychology I want to give back to our wonderful profession through my training programmes and individual coaching.
Instead of simply repairing what is broken, I can help you create a foundation to rely upon, so when the inevitable challenges in veterinary medicine arise, you are prepared.
